Save Our Aquifer! (Public Information Meeting)

Join us Tues. 20 June, 7pm at Bethel United Church (1742 Third Concession Rd, Port Colborne, ON) for a public information meeting to save our aquifer!

Port Colborne Quarries (and associated businesses) continue to threaten the Onondaga Aquifer – the fresh water source that has served people across both shores of Lake Erie for millennia. In addition, they are also threatening destruction of farmland, protected wetlands, wildlife, and frankly, the right of locals to a quiet and peaceful community without explosions, airborne dirt, excessive industrial traffic/noise…all in the name of “profits over people”.

This is not just happening here, but all over Ontario (and the continent). The government seems happy to let this happen, so we must speak up louder than usual – reminding them they work for us, not only corporations & lobbyists!

Please join us (you don’t need to be local)! Bring your neighbours, your questions, your comments, and we will share what we know so we can all work together for our communities and all future generations!
